Work Order Coordinator

Local construction and maintenance firm that services all the Atlanta MSA is seeking an individual that can oversee all aspects of construction and maintenance planning and implementation. This associate will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation for residential remodeling. We are looking for a multi-talented Work Order Coordinator to run a diverse portfolio of residential construction projects. A dynamic leader who loves problem solving and working with designers and clients. A self-starter who is motivated by challenges, is a team builder and knows how to make customers happy. With the support of the office staff, you will direct and coordinate the renovation schedule and activities for multiple projects every month. You must be organized, detail-oriented and comfortable with the challenges of remodeling. You must be well rounded and have knowledge on construction trades and building codes. You will supervise and work alongside other employees and contractors to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget according to work orders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple projects spread across 200 hundred neighborhoods in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
  • Generating scopes from scratch and producing competitive proposals, as well as delivering formal bids to prospective clients.
  • Delegating work and assignments to the handymen, construction workers, laborers, and/or third-party vendors based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
  • On-boarding handymen and construction workers and laborers to company standards and protocols by providing leadership, direction, and technical guidance on projects.
  • Conducting site checks to monitor progress and quality, as well as ensuring projects are completed within scope. Ensuring that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in general accordance with the approved drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • Leading all aspects of each project at each community, as well as managing the workflow of multiple incoming work orders.
  • Managing and verifying compliance with permit requirements.
  • Assisting with material procurement to include keeping track of inventory and equipment.
  • Ensuring supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
  • Handling administrative tasks while managing construction projects.
  • Managing insurance claims.
  • Acting as Team Leader.
  • Managing in-house maintenance techs.
  • Obtaining bids from competing firms.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Anything else necessary to build the brand and perform your job at the highest level possible.
